James is here…and he is precious!

Remember how cute Cheryl was during her maternity pictures?!  Well, earlier this month, James was born and he is just as cute!

While I’m sad Cheryl won’t be at work with me everyday for a few weeks, I’m very excited she gets to spend some time at home with her little boy!  Jeremy and Cheryl are wonderful with kids and I have no doubt they will be the best parents for James.  He is one lucky boy!

My friend Laura got married last weekend!!!  She was just beautiful! (check back later for some highlights from the wedding!) I was blessed to be able to help coordinate the ceremony and help out behind the scenes.  I LOVE working with weddings.  There is so much to think about that day, and the less the people IN the wedding have to think about and the more I can help with, the better!  I’m happy to report all went well!

The reception was located at the Cannery Ballroom in Nashville.  There is a section behind the bar area that has booths set up…like in a little cafe…OR a 1950′s soda shop!  Laura’s dad had the great idea to turn that section in to a soda shop and have ice cream sundae’s and 50′s music for guests to enjoy.  To help set the theme of the area, they wanted some “50′s style” photos of Jared and Laura…that’s where I come in.  Here are some of my favorites from our session along with some of the ones that hung on the wall at the reception.  Seriously…such a cute idea!

meet sweet claire…

isn’t she precious?! I had the pleasure of meeting claire a few weekends ago.  we had a great afternoon photographing the entire family…dog included! (I love that I keep getting clients with dogs…this make me happy! if you have pets and babies I will gladly come photograph them!!!)  Here are a few of my favorites …

We had such a fun morning with Jonathan and Heather!  Jonathan works with my husband so I feel like that makes us friends too!  I really do love working with children, but I will say…I did’t have to jump around and make silly near as much when we photographed these two…just occasionally

Jonathan and Heather live out in Thompson’s Station.  It’s an area of town that we LOVE and one reason we love it is because of this fun park!  Trains, railroad tracks and all!

I’m kind of loving my Christmas Card Mini-sessions…short, sweet, and to the point…which is REALLY helpful when it’s COLD outside.  brrrr.  Friday afternoon was a pretty day, but certainly a bit chilly.  Brady and Baylor were CHAMPS and were just the cutest.  I can tell they are hilarious brothers and certainly make things fun around their house!   Here are some of my favorites from their session:

I was simply giddy after I read Courtney’s email.  “I’m not sure if you’re comfortable with dogs…but our first four kids are rescue dogs, and we just had a baby boy and would like family pics of all of us, dogs included!”  Am I comfortable with dogs?!?!  YES!  My mother ingrained a love for these sweet animals in my heart at a very early age.  We even have pictures of my brother sharing his ice cream cone with our dog.  Needless to say, I couldn’t wait to meet this sweet family and photograph all 5 of their children!  and they were all precious…but Carter may have taken the prize with his Christmas picture…

but the dogs were just adorable and beautiful…

we had a great time capturing all the smiles and giggles from Carter…

and then made the attempt to get the ENTIRE family on the couch…I LOVE it!

We love the Meriwether family!  You may remember the pictures we took before sweet Ellen was born…and now she’s here!  We spent a rainy afternoon at the Factory getting some fun family shots!

First of all, I loved all the pictures from this session!  The locations were wonderful, the weather was beautiful, and these are some very dear friends of mine with a precious puppy dog!  All of these things made for a fabulous afternoon in Franklin!

I’ve known Jessica since high school…we’ve been known to do a killer n*sync dance (which we may or may not still remember!) and travel to australia together on occasion.  After high school Jess went way up north to Minnesota for college where she met and fell in love with sweet Ben!  We love Ben and of course their sweet pup Reagan!  They now live in Memphis so I’m always excited to see them and catch up…this time we caught up with my camera in their face

Most of our time was spent out at this lovely farm in Franklin, but we did head to the Factory for a few last shots of the day!

Jess and Ben…we had such a great time with you both and I’m pretty sure I see “doggy model” in Reagan’s future!

I’ve got another Scarlet for you to meet today!  and she is pure cuteness…see what I mean…

I’ve known Scarlet’s mom for a very long time and would occasionally babysit her and her sister.  I now work with Scarlet’s Mimi (I love fun grandmom names!) so I was fully aware of how much fun it would be to photograph Scarlet in some cute Christmas attire.  She did not disappoint on the fun…
