Back in June I had the privilege of being a part of Ashlan and Andrew’s wedding at Scarritt Bennett in Nashville.  I was honored to capture these sweet memories as they started their lives together.  You know it’s going to be a beautiful day if your wedding is at scarritt…it’s just always pretty. 

I started the day off with Ashlan getting her hair and make up done…

ahslan, you were BEAUTIFUL!  just lovely…and your dress…your dress was gorgeous!

ashlan and andrew chose to see each other before the ceremony which allowed for some very sweet moments in the chapel before too much of the stress of the day was able to set in…

Ashlan and Andrew just graduated college together and have so much ahead of them.  They get to start their lives together and completely in love.  It was joy to meet this couple and celebrate alongside their families on this big day!

MARRIED! congrats you two!

it’s pretty common knowledge I love me some holidays.  the decorating, the food, the fun.  and the opportunity for good theme parties.  naturally, when I was asked to photographer a birthday party on the 4th of July I was excited. duh! a patriotic party on the 4th for 4 year old twins…sign me up!  we had a blast celebrating with this sweet family.  Here are the twin girls and some of their friends at the photo booth the mom set up!

the girls and their friends had so much fun!  it was a great party and we loved being able to celebrate with them!  I love photographing parties for the same reason I love shooting weddings.  you get to capture this wonderful day and allow the family to be free of stress from one more thing.  They get to enjoy the party, eat the cake, and actually be in pictures with their loved ones!

the girls were super cute in their matching outfits and Dora and Boots cake!  oh to be a kid again…

today is my husband Josh’s birthday.  I absolutely love him to pieces and am SO VERY excited to get to celebrate him today!  He is just the greatest…wonderful friend, son, brother, uncle…I’m so very lucky to call him my husband!  He encourages, motivates, challenges, and loves…deeply loves.  just the greatest.  you should all be friends with him.  He’ll make you laugh and sing you country songs…he’ll send you funny emails and ask about your day.  I am ecstatic to see what the Lord has planned for Josh during his 29th year!  I think it’s going to be a great one! 

to josh…may we find a house this year that we love, may UT beat Florida, may Dylan always choose to cuddle with you over me, and may we find a lazy river to float around in and love life to fullest together always! Happy Birthday babe!

I simply love this kid…no way around it.  How could you not?!

besides the fact that his parents are friends of mine, I work with his mom, i’ve known him since he was born and get to watch him grow…he’s just happy, and cute, and smiley, and precious…and well…I’ll let you vote for yourself:

I had such a great time with Jeremy, Cheryl, and James!  We powered through the heat and enjoyed some family photos on Cheryl’s birthday!!!

saturday…it was hot…but it was BEAUTIFUL and the happiest day for Courtney and Mike!
