one of the perks of being a photographer is getting to meet some truly wonderful people. Over these last few years I’ve been able to meet people I wouldn’t meet if I didn’t do this…AND I get to be the one to capture their precious memories! what an honor! since we moved back in August I’ve now had the privilege to meet some wonderful neighbors by being their photographer. It’s been so fun! These cool kids are just a few houses down and I’m so glad I got to meet them and spend an afternoon together! Here are some of my favorites of this brother and sister duo!

This was my 4th time to photograph sweet Addie and I’m pretty sure she gets cuter each time!

I love how these sweet ones turned out with her and the purple flowers. we had the perfect little spring session!

One thing I love about being a photographer is you are usually with people helping them celebrate big occasions…weddings, parties, birthdays…and newborn babies! This is my 4th time to photograph the Thurman family and I love getting to literally watch their sweet family grow! I was super excited to meet their newest addition…baby Bennett!

he was the most chill little baby! and he is certainly LOVED by his big brothers!

Brady and Baylor were very excited to have their picture taken!

my friend Rachel gave birth to her second daughter back in February…of course I was out of town (I was out of town when Virginia, her first daughter was born too!) but I was sure to hurry over there as soon as I got back! here are some favorites from this new family of four!

Virginia is going to be such a sweet big sister! Can’t wait to watch these two girls grow up together!

I’m continuing the adoption theme on the blog today with some pictures of my friends Charlie and Heather. I grew up with Charlie and I met Heather when we started working together 10 years ago…so, to say these two are good friends of mine is pretty accurate. AND I am SUPER excited for them as they begin their adoption journey. Charlie and Heather needed some pictures together to include in all their adoption paper work and packets and was thrilled they asked me to take these for them. Here are some of my favorites from our morning together:

I am so excited for Charlie and Heather as they start this journey of faith…and I’m thankful I got to share in this little piece of it!

We met for lunch to catch up after the holidays. She told me that the previous Sunday at church she and God had a nice a little conversation and decided they would start the adoption process to adopt a second child. Well, to make a short story even shorter, a month later…she got her precious daughter Lorali. WOAH!

God certainly shows Himself in amazing ways and I’m so thankful Julie, Matt, and Libby now get to love on little Lorali and give her a wonderful family and home. She is one lucky baby that’s for sure…and beautiful I might add!

can’t wait to see the amazing things in store for this precious little life! thanks for letting me capture these sweet moments of her first days at home!

rodriguez family: nashville family photograph

I love photographing sweet children and lots of families. This past fall was certainly FULL of them and we loved it. However, this project was VERY special. It was a great change of pace and wonderful challenge to capture more than 60 years of love and marriage. I grew up with 2 of the Rodriguez’s grandchildren. We had both moved to Nashville around the same time and ended . When Cristy and Tevy contacted me about a secret Christmas project for their mom I knew I couldn’t say no! They specifically requested some black and whites close ups…they wanted to see the wrinkes, their hands, their faces…the years of love these two have shared. It was a wonderful project and was happy to be a part of it. Here are some of my favorites:

I also wanted to give Mr. and Mrs. Rodriguez some of pictures for them…so I gave them some fun colorful ones!

I was told our secret project was a HUGE success! All the family loved them and Mr. and Mrs. Rodriguez sent Christmas card pictures out with them for the first time in years!
